Many people with epilepsy experience seizures during the night.
These attacks are not always noticed, which can cause anxiety and uncertainty for the person himself and for loved ones.
Today, night-time attack detection solutions exist and are used in several European countries.
Among other things, these systems track movement patterns and heart rate during sleep.
These solutions do not replace medical follow-up, but can provide more peace of mind and security for some families.
🔍 Important to know
- Nocturnal detection is not suitable for all forms of epilepsy
- Always discuss use with a doctor or neurologist
- These systems are currently not reimbursed by Belgian health insurance
