Testimonial #11 - Laureen, 35 years old
My first attack came in 2010. Since then, we still don't know exactly what triggers them. Whenever I am sick or tired, or fret too much, they appear.
I am a mum of a 16-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. I became pregnant again in 2019, but I had to undergo an abortion (IMG) because the heavy medication (Lamictal and Keppra) had caused brain abnormalities. That was a hugely difficult ordeal.
Recently, I had a seizure where my head vibrated against the wall. I could hear my partner, but I felt like I was suffocating. Sometimes I also have dizziness and blurred vision.
Today my neurologist retired, my file was lost, and it is very difficult to get an appointment close to home.
But despite everything, I remain hopeful. I keep moving forward for my children, with courage and determination. 💜
🙏 Thank you, Laureen, for your testimony full of strength and sincerity.
